BACTERIA!
The Board Game
To help teach people about different types of bacteria and the amazing things that they can do, we have developed a board game and associated lesson plan. Files for all of the game boards, pieces, rules, and lessons plans can be found below and can be freely downloaded.

The game is suitable for people of all ages and can be played for fun or used to teach scientific concepts related to bacterial phenotypes and metabolism. The lesson plan includes recipes for agar/agar-substitute plates so that students can visualize the microbes in their environment. Feel free to adapt for your own class or outreach event (the game is covered by a Creative Commons license that allows not-for-profit sharing and modification)!

A huge thank you to Nushrat Hoque and Olivia Fraser for updating the game and developing the lesson plans. And thank you to the National Science Foundation for sponsoring game development!
